    1. Another snappy bombastic adventure from Steve Yeager's post-Raptors books. Perhaps there awaits in the future another epic saga like the Raptors trilogy, but for now what we get from the man is lean mean fast self-contained adventures. In this particular book--which appears to be the first of many adventures of Cutter's team--*HERE BE SPOILERS*--we are thrust into the illegal mining networks in the Ural mountains (Russia), where a certain artifact is found, and through it a malevolent intelligenc [...]

    2. Steve Yeager brings it in Zombie Team Alpha. Jack Cutter's not a Dirk Pitt clone; he's a guy struggling to make sense of himself and his world after tragedy and not doing a great job of it. His teammates, the tech savvy Morgan and the gunslinger Gauge, drag him kicking and screaming back to the real world. Their mission to off-book mining operation starts to go wrong even before they get there.Yeager does a nice job of handling a number of hidden agendas and keeping the reader involved in the s [...]

    3. ** Review of Audio Format **Tech ZombiesThe fact that the zombies in this listen are created using a device and that the people are still inside themselves and aware of what they are doing makes this a really unique twist on the zombie apocalypse theme. Most of the time, the apocalypse comes about due to a virus or something similar. This, to me, read more like an adventure thriller.I still liked it. The flawed leader of a special ops retrieval for money group was a compelling character. Jackson [...]

    4. Pleasantly surprisedWhile the book was slow it definitely picked up speed and kept me engaged. Although, I'm not one for insta' love as I call it, I managed to look past my own likes to find another diamond in the rough. I rated this 5 starts for its uniqueness, how well the author did in setting up each character, and the progression of the story line. The main character "Cutter" is a man lost in grief while his counter parts try and save their company. They take a high risk job with a huge pay [...]

    5. Deep in the mines of Russia, a mysterious artifact was unearthed. Those who came in contact with it, become infected with something terrifying! While the outbreak is contained to the remote place for the time being, their are certain people who would love to get their hands on this artifact. So they hire an elite team of recovery and security specialists to retrieve the item. Jack Cutter and his team had already attempted to retrieve a similar thing before but things went horribly wrong and Jack [...]

    6. An experienced Special Ops team is hired to retrieve an artifact from a closed mine in Russia. The twist is that this artifact is controlling the zombies that seem to be protecting it. Our team led by Cutter has done this type of mission before. The last mission got Cutter’s wife killed and sent Cutter into a drunken slump in Barbados where the other two team members found him. Sobering him up and getting him mission-ready got the team available for a $4M payday. Now all they had to do is pick [...]

    7. Was I blown away by this book? Not so much but it was entertaining. It was a new idea for zombies and I can tell there will be more in the series. The characters were like-able even if they weren't so relatable. I feel like there is a back story that should have been told in more depth. Narration was good but the sound for some of the voices was a bit low. I was voluntarily provided this review copy at no charge by the author, publisher and or narrator.
